Trinidad and Tobago fights Zika virus by fining those with abandoned properties


The Trinidad and Tobago Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh recently imposed higher fines upon owners of abandoned and overgrown properties in its mosquito eradication exercises to fight the Zika virus.

Is Yellow Fever the next global health emergency?


A major outbreak of yellow fever in Angola, as well as two smaller flare-ups in Congo and Uganda, are now practically under control. But the World Health Organization (WHO) has urged countries to be vigilant in the event the disease erupts elsewhere as a global epidemic.

Many Nigerian citizens believe that they are immune to Zika virus

Though there is no evidence to prove this information other than the Health minister’s declaration of Nigeria’s immunity to the virus decades ago, a recent research by independent newspaper proved that a lot of Nigerians have little or no information about Zika virus.
