Father finds daughter's dead body sexually assaulted hours after she went out to jog

Karina Vetrano was sexually assaulted and strangled to death in Howard Beach in Queens late on Tuesday night, the New York Police Department said.
Her devastated father found his daughter killed less than a mile away from her New York City home; sh had left for a jog on her own., a few hours before.

The 30-year-old dedicated runner was strangled and her pants had been pulled down, the NYPD has revealed.

She was a caterer, a speech therapist and aspiring writer who shared pictures on her Instagram of lavish trips around the world. 

Her father Phil, a retired Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighter, was with police when he made the horrifying discovery.
