Parts of Ikeja, Lagos flooded yesterday June 22 (Video)

I had gone to Computer Village to buy a laptop accessory and the rain started. It lasted for about 20 minutes and I changed my mind about the shopping.

All of a sudden, the road leading to Ikeja under bridge was blocked and what would normally be a 2-minute journey from where we parked, to the bridge, took 1 hour!

Imagine soaking your car for an hour. Thankfully the car didn't develop any fault even though many people has issues as soon as they got out of the water.

Who is to blame for this? It had rained in the Allen Avenue part of Ikeja but one could see no flood.

That tells you that the residents or shop owners around Computer Village need to do more in terms of keeping their drainage free.

They need to do more to safeguard their environment in other to avoid epidemics like Cholera.

Besides, it's bad business. I turned back because I couldn't be bothered to stick my legs into the flood.
