Our bodies are home to many different organs and systems that are important for maintaining good health.
For this reason alone, we ought to do our best to treat our bodies well by giving it the TLC it needs. We will focus on the skin in this post.
We need to look after our lymphatic nodes or lymph, for short. It not an organ, but this fluid and the system of nodes it flows through is directly related to our skin. If this organ is filled with toxins, our skin won’t have a healthy glow. You can clean out your lymphatic system by drinking plenty of water and avoiding processed foods. Lymph massages are also available.
Whatever “toxin” remains in the body continues to alert the immune system. It’s as if it’s stuck in the “on” position.
Diet, for example, causes many autoimmune conditions. Sugar, wheat, pesticides, gluten, heavy metals and genetically modified organisms causes distention and eventual pH changes.
Some of the auto-immune conditions of the skin include: eczema, psoriasis, scleroderma and vitiligo.
The skin is your biggest organ!
Slathering lotions, makeup, deodorants or fragrances on that contain parabens, BHT or other endocrine disrupters can lead to hormone dysregulation, PCOS, endometriosis, and fibroids.
Infrared saunas, sweating, hot yoga, Epsom salt baths, and dry brush to get your lymph system to remove chemicals.
Exercise and good sweat is needed daily. Avoid any mainstream or synthetic toiletries and go organic.
The cosmetic field is NOT regulated and everything is absorbed.
Vitamin D prevents breast and prostate cancer.
