Elnathan John is a Nigerian writer and novelist. He attended the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he obtained a law degree in 2007.
His short story "Bayan Layi", published in Per Contra, was shortlisted for the Caine Prize for African Writing in 2013. He was shortlisted again in 2015 for his short story "Flying". His writing has been published in Sentinel Nigeria,Per Contra, Hazlitt, ZAM Magazine, Evergreen Review, and Chimurenga's The Chronic. His first novel Born on a Tuesday was published by Cassava Republic Press in 2015.
Elnathan John is a Civitella Ranieri Fellow (2015). He writes a weekly satirical column for the Sunday Trust newspaper and speaks regularly on Nigerian literature, media and politics.
It's Father's day today and he posted something interesting on Twitter.

Do you agree?
It's an unspoken fact that many Nigerian women get pregnant for one man and give the children to another, without their knowledge. This would definitely expose so many people but is is good enough to make the service not easily available to Nigerians?
There are many benefits of DNA testing, apart from paternity tests.
