The Truth: There is no UAE visa ban for Nigerians

I wonder if you heard about the news that Nigerians need to be 40 years and above (pictured)?
There are no new visa rules for travelers to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) countries from Nigeria, contrary to recent media reports. News reports earlier alleged the introduction of age restrictions to prospective travelers to the UAE from Nigeria.
The reports alleged that the new rules banned “single and unmarried Nigerians who are less than 40 years old from visiting the country except the person is accompanied by someone who is above 40 and bears the same surname with them.”
However, a staff of the UAE embassy in Abuja who spoke to Weekly Trust, pleading anonymity yesterday said the reports of the purported new rules were simply rumours. The source said:
“The Mission is aware of this and has received several emails and questions about it. These are just rumours. We’ve told Nigerians to wait to hear from us. We haven’t heard from the UAE and if any such were to happen, the ambassador would have a press conference to notify Nigerians about it and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would also be involved. On the delays, some agents complain they now experience difficulties with securing visas for their clients, the source said. The Embassy can’t have a say on that because the person did it directly. We don’t deal with agents.”
A few of my friends way below 40 went to Dubai for Valentine's,so, the truth is there is no UAE visa ban or restrictions for Nigerians.
