Infant stimulator progams in schools leads to teenage pregnancy- Study

Students Sallie Norman, left, and Katie Osborne, in Catherine Gray's Child Development class, at Henderson County High, work in class with two infant simulators, in Henderson, Ky., Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011. The simulators, that students take home on weekends, are essentially baby dolls in baby carriers that cry, burp, need to be fed and need diaper changes according to a pre-set program that the students cannot control or predict. Schools that have infant simulator programs, where students use dolls and classes to learn what being a mother is like, may actually make teenage girls more likely to become pregnant, according to a new Australian study.
