Nigerian receives award from the White House for efforts in anti-trafficking

Russia-based Oluremi Banwo Kehinde is considered a hero by the US Department of State. He worked with others in the team to produce the 2016 Trafficking In Persons Report.

NIGERIA has been ranked under Tier 2.

According to the report,  Nigeria is a source, transit, and destination country for women and children subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking.

US ranks all countries in 2016 Human Trafficking Report

The Trafficking in Persons Report, or TIP Report, is an annual report issued by the U.S. State Department's Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. It ranks governments based on US perceptions of their efforts to acknowledge and combat human trafficking.
