Many stories of killers dressed in clown costume, have gone viral over the last couple of days. Just this night, a video posted on Twitter shows someone in a clown costume jumping over fences at the school and chasing what looks like students, many of whom ran away screaming.
"Killer clowns " have been sighted reportedly and the occurrence is being investigated by local police in Gatineau, Quebec, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Cape Breton and Bowmanville, Ontario, Toronto, and Ottawa.
More reports have spread on Twitter and Facebook. The paranoia has even reached the American White House, where press secretary Josh Earnest had to field questions about the president's stance on "creepy clowns" during a press briefing on Thursday.
The clown craze also seems to be spreading to the UK and Australia.
