Yesterday August 3, an Emirates flight EK521 exploded on the runway while incredibly all 300 people on board were safely evacuated.
Firefighter Jasim Hassan was tragically killed when flight EK521 while trying to put out flames when the Emirates airline plane crash-landed at Dubai Airport after reportedly catching fire in mid-air.
The Dubai government confirmed the jet - which took off from India earlier today - made an emergency stop at the airport shortly after 1 p.m local time (10 a.m UK time).
All of the 300 people on board - including 24 Brits - were safely evacuated and just 14 people were taken to hospital to be treated for “cuts and bruises”, but their injuries were described as “moderate”.
Dramatic video appears to show the passengers evacuated.
