Bayezid Hossain, 4, lives in Magura district in southern Bangladesh. He is suffering from a disease that makes him look like an old man, reports the British newspaper, Daily Mail.
Doctors believe that the child has progeria, one of the rarest diseases in the world, which makes the body age eight times faster than normal. The child has health problems typical of a man about 80 years old. However, the disorder has not affected his brain, as it has the typical level of intelligence for his age.
This disorder has influenced dramatically in the life of the family of Bayezid, as he can not attend school and is not communicating with other children and adults who, meanwhile, avoid him because of his appearance.
Doctors are yet to find a treatment. His father has confessed that "like any parent, I want my child to have a long and healthy life, but I feel that only a miracle" could save him.
