This swimmer had earache not knowing a spider was living in her

Swimmer suffering from earache horrified when nurse pulls out SPIDER

Eugh!

I remember just last week when someone gave me this gist about a family friend who has cockroach living in her ear and didn't know until she went to ENT to treat the accompanying pain.

This is a similar story, a spider this time.

Victoria Price, 42, from Porthcawl, Wales, suffered earache after swimming in the Newport Beach and thought it was due to a perforated eardrum or an infection.

She filled her ear with cotton wool, but still, the pain persisted. Asking her husband to check for infection, he remarked: 'There's something alive in there'.
Mrs Price was swimming in Newton Beach, Porthcawl (pictured) and her earache began when she returned home to showed. She believes the spider must have been nestled in the hood of her jumper

In hospital, a nurse removed a live, wriggling spider (inset) with forceps and said it was 'twice the size it looked'. Fortunately, an examination showed the spider had not caused any problems.

Mrs Price said: 'There was no further damage - or any eggs laid - as everyone keeps asking me.'
