On Thursday, June 16, 2016, Grammy Award winner, Meat Loaf, collapsed during a concert held in Edmonton, Canada.
According to US Magazine, the singer was performing at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium, when he fell dropped to the floor.
Meat Loaf was about singing his 1993 hit "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" when the microphone fell from his hand.
Jamie Carriere, who attended the concert told CBC News of the incident. According to him, the singer suddenly dropped the microphone and collapsed.
He said, "He fell … he just fell,"
"You could hear the microphone just hit the ground. I thought it was a joke, I didn't know what was going on because he was joking around throughout his set."
A post on his Facebook page said he collapsed due to severe dehydration.
He was admitted to hospital for routine tests, and additional tests are being performed but he is described as "responsive and recovering well".
The message extended "his heartfelt thanks for everyone's support and well wishes" and said he is "expecting a speedy and full recovery".
