Her husband, Rev. ‘Wole Omotuyi is on the board of the Diocese of Lagos West where he serves as Admin. Assistant to the Bishop at Adetiloye House (3rd Floor), Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral (AVMCC) G.R.A, Ikeja.
Her daughter, Olubukola Omotuyi Osadare wrote a tribute to her late mum saying:
"Olufunke mi owon. Gbonjubola mi Adunni, its hard! The pain is raw. It feels surreal. How do I mourn? How do I get through this grief? U are no longer on this terrestrial plane.
"My Gold is corrupted! Destroyed by the desperately wicked.
"You beat them to it in the spiritual. Hahaha They tried, but God fought for you. You won many battles against them. That makes me so glad. They came for you in the physical. God allowed it. We submit to him, after all you lived your life in his service.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry I never told you how much I loved you. I love you, so very much. You were the epitome of womanhood. Gentle, kind, easy going woman of God. You believed in God and lived for him. A true Iya yard.
"I know you are with God now, I know we'll see sometime soon. Ade is still looking for you to play ball with you.

"I'm so proud of you and everything you were and stood for. I'm honoured to have come through your womb. I'm blessed to have been nurtured by you. Even in death, you are a shinning star.
"And to the perpetrators of this dastardly act, Y'all know she served a living God right.
"Sleep on my dear mother. O di gba..............."
Some members of the council, where she worked, also paid tributes to the woman who has been severally described as 'harmless and sweet', lamenting the dastardly acts of the perpetrators.
On the memorial website,
Onyinye Activity Mbamalu wrote:
"Mrs Omotuyi your death came to the whole MLS in Nigeria like a thunderbolt. You exited this world in one of the most cruel manner. I was left with a consolation that u fought a good fight of faith & have earned yourself a crown in heaven. Sleep well great woman of God. For the family u left behind, God will console them &, give them the fortitude to bear your irreparable loss. For all in the MLS family, may your death reunite us instead of tearing us apart & to your killers & those that plotted this devilish act, they have murdered sleep. They will wander like fugitives in their homes, in the midst of plenty they will lack, in the midst of peace they will constantly be at war, they will beg to die but death will be far away from them till they confess & admit their crime openly no matter how lowly placed or highly placed they are in the society. Adieu nwanyioma! Adieu Ezinne!! Adieu Mrs Omotuyi".
Salako Olukayode
"It's rather unfortunate that we lost the amiable, reasonable, humble, compassionate, meek, and above all, a virtuous woman who was always contented with whatever situation she found herself. I never for once imagined we could lose you this way, but God in his infinite mercies surely knows whatever is hidden. Adieu, Mrs Olufunke Folashade OMOTUYI, till we meet to part no more."

"Mummy Omotuyi, though I have never met you physically before but your death hit me exact way I felt when I lost my father. you therefore became my parent in death. For three days I kept imagining the agony that took you off the surface of the earth. Every time I imagine it I feel very crazy. Crazy of how the knife went into your jugular and your chest.
Now that you are gone painfully, you must not allow them go scot free. All of them must be hunted till they leave the world for hell. Their generations yet unborn must not know peace for they murdered our peace.
I love you so much mummy. I can only bid you farewell until we meet to part no more. Adieu Mummy MLSCN. Adieu Mummy Omotuyi."
