@AJStream on Twitter has announced a discussion scheduled to take place this Wednesday at 1930 GMT.
Some of the topics to be covered are:
What advise would you give to young people living with HIV?
How have attitudes about HIV and AIDS changed since the 1980s?
What would you tell a young person who has recently contracted HIV that you wish someone said to you?
What is it like being an HIV long-term survivor aging with HIV?
What questions do you have for those aging with the virus?
Now check out this amazing data found on avert.org
Of all people living with HIV globally, 9% of them live in Nigeria. Although HIV prevalence among adults is remarkably small (3.2%) compared to other sub-Saharan African countries such as South Africa (19.1%) and Zambia (12.5%), the size of Nigeria's population means that there were 3.2 million people living with HIV in 2013.
Nigeria, together with South Africa and Uganda, account for almost half of all annual new HIV infections in sub-Saharan Africa. This is despite achieving a 35% reduction in new infections between 2005 and 2013.
