Transgender woman arrested for taking pictures of a lady in women's toilet



A middle-aged man who identifies as transgender was arrested Tuesday for taking photos of a customer while she changed in the women's fitting room at an American retail chain store, Target, in Idaho.

The US now allows transgenders to serve openly in the military


The United States government on Thursday ended its ban on openly transgender people serving in the US military, formally removing the risk to an estimated thousands of US troops who once could have been kicked out of the armed forces due to gender identity.

Few weeks after a gay nightclub in Orlando became the site of one the deadliest mass shootings in modern U.S. history, and as numerous L.G.B.T.Q. Pride celebrations were winding down throughout the country on Sunday night, Pope Francis said that the gay community deserves an apology, as do all others who have historically felt discriminated against by the Catholic Church.

US judge issues injunction allowing transgender teen access to boys' bathroom in Virginia

A federal judge on Thursday issued an injunction that allows the school board in the state of Virginia to allow a transgender teenage student to use whichever restroom he identifies with.

Nigerian gay activist, Bisi Alimi speaks on Orlando shooting, blasts Goodluck Jonathan

Adebisi Alimi, an actor-turned-activist, was the first person to come out as gay on Nigerian television. He shares his story when he speaks up for the rights of the LGBT community.


The world shook when 49 people were killed in a gay club in Florida, last Sunday. Nigerian LGBT activist, Bisi Alimi shared his opinion on the matter with NPR.org.
