Chief Ekanem Edet, a fifty-year-old man has reportedly committed suicide after writing President Muhammadu Buhari a suicide note on Thursday.
The chief, a native of Mbiabong Itam in Itu Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, was allegedly seen lifeless while hung to the roof of his room, according to the Vanguard.
He was a former Secretary of the Mbiabong Village Council, and is survived by wife and two sons.
