Dwayne Wade’s cousin, Nykea Aldridge, was pushing a stroller with her child in it on Friday afternoon on a street in the South Side of Chicago when some men started shooting at each other.
A stray bullet hit her in the head, while another struck her in an arm. She died about 45 minutes later at a hospital.
According to her aunt, Jolinda Wade, who is Dwayne Wade’s mother,
Aldridge was on her way to an elementary school when the shooting happened. She said:
“She wasn’t bothering nobody,”.”She was just going to register her kids at school.”
Fortunately, her child is unhurt.
