Earlier today, July 12, the president of the Nigerian Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki met with and discussed ways of improving Nigeria’s Healthcare system through legislation with the Regional Director of the World Health Organisation (WHO) for Africa, Dr. Matshidiso Rebecca Moeti.

"Over the years, the WHO in Nigeria has played a leading role in mitigating the effects of many diseases in the country, hence, it was a pleasure to exchange ideas with Dr. Moeti, the Honourable Minister for Health, Prof. Isaac Folorunso Adewole, and the WHO team on legislative interventions that the 8th Senate can embark on to strengthen Nigeria’s healthcare system."
