Photos: Road washed away in Durban and tornado hits Phumlami mall in Jo'burg


The incoming winter season in South Africa is here with a vengeance that has swept across most parts of South Africa this week.

On Monday, torrential rain in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) washed cars off the road. Two people have been reported missing as a result.

KwaZulu-Natal, a coastal South African province, is known for its beaches, mountains and savannah populated by big game.

Traffic is said to be on standstill in Johannesburg as a tornado is said to have hit  Phumlani Mall.The roof at the mall, which is located in Tembisa, has collapsed, causing injuries to an unknown number of people, the mall's management has said.
