The civil societies in conjunction with the Nigerian Labour Congress were protesting in front of NECA building in Alausa Lagos when the hoodlums numbering about fifty stormed the area brandishing weapons.

Protesters tried to scuttle to safety although some were beaten with planks. Some persons were also stabbed with knives and bottles.

It is suspected that the hoodlums are from Fela’s shrine. The police are on ground but it seems they are overwhelmed by the large number of hoodlums.
