Now, three Nigerians remain and the Federal Government have sprung into action begging Indonesia for leniency in their matter and asked for the Indonesian government to commute the sentence of the three convicts.
The Federal Government made a statement yesterday begging the Indonesian government for mercy saying, “ though three of them have since been executed, we are still pleading on behalf of the remaining three.”
Fourteen people were put on the list and with the four already executed, 10 still remain. All executions were to take place on Friday but a “comprehensive review” of the cases was decided so as to “avoid any mistake” in the 10 cases. Attorney General H. Muhammad Prasetyo said.
