Rev. Dominic Yamoah, 40, was arrested on Saturday morning after he allegedly tried to persuade an undercover source to perform sexual acts in exchange for money. Fremont County Sheriff in Iowa, published a press release after deputies arrested him and he now faces solicitation charges.
Rev. Yamoah serves as a priest at the St. Clare Parish in Clarinda and St. Joseph Parish in Villisca. Roman Catholic officials say he has now been suspended from public ministry after discussing his arrest on Saturday in Hamburg with Bishop Richard Pates.
A statement released by the reverend says he very sincerely regrets his actions.
