Dr. Michael Sanusi is a Adult and Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as the West African College of Surgeons. He graduated from the faculty of Medicine in 1990 from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and moved to the USA for his Surgical training.
He became a general Surgeon in 1999, gradating at the top of his surgery residency class with honors from the UCLA/Drew University Medical Center in Los Angeles, scoring in the top 98% percentile in the US General Surgery Board Examinations.

After working as a General Surgeon in the US and Nigeria, he returned to train as an adult and pediatric Cardiac Surgeon at State University of New York/ Maimonides Medical Center and Emory University/ Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
He is US board certified in General and Thoracic Surgery. Dr Sanusi currently works in Nigeria and has served at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja as a Consultant Adult and Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon and is dedicated to providing the best care to his patients.
Dr. Michael Sanusi is the first child of ex-Central Bank of Nigeria Governor and veteran economist, Mr. Joseph Sanusi. He is presently one of the best five heart surgery experts who work at the Nigeria’s most equipped Heart Surgery & Cardiovascular Hospital, Tristate Heart & Vascular Center at Backcock University, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun state—South West Nigeria.
