Nigerian footballer gets donation from team mates to visit family after 5 years



One can only imagine what not being able to see your family for 5 years can do to your psyche, especially when you really want to see them.


Felix Orode is Nigerian and plays as a midfielder for Sportivo Barracas. For various reasons he explains in Twitter, he could not travel to his country for five years to see his family.



The suddenly, among all players and coaching staff, they gathered the money to pay a for ticket to Nigeria and they gave the surprise during their training.

Excited Orode shared this sensational attitude of his companions and related what happened through his Twitter account.

Orode debuted for San Lorenzo in a 2–0 away win against Huracán during the 2009–10 Argentine Primera División season under coach Diego Simeone on 21 November 2009. He was substituted onto the field in the 77th minute for Diego Rivero.
