Every birth of a new baby is a miracle in its own right. But every so often, a birth happens that is so startling that even the doctors delivering the baby are stunned.

That's what happened when dad-to-be stood by the mother of his child as she gave birth. The doctor did something that he will never forget.

The doctor said, "Hurry up Dad, take a picture your baby is a miracle."

As you can see in the photo the dad posted on Reddit, the baby was born with a knot in the umbilical cord. The rare phenomenon only happens in about one percent of pregnancies, but it has the potential to be deadly, since the knot can cut off nutrients and oxygen to the developing fetus. Even worse, the knot can tighten during a delivery. But this baby, thankfully, was healthy as can be.
