Pictures: 2 lions killed after man strips and enters their cage

So, this 20-year-old stripped naked and entered the enclosure of lions  (a male and a female) in an apparent suicide attempt early on Saturday.

The two lions injured him seriously and zookeepers killed the two lions in order to save his life as there were no fast-acting tranquilisers available to stop the lions from mauling the man. 

The man, who a suicide note was found in his clothes, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and was said to be in grave condition.

Director Alejandra Montalba of South America's Santiago’s Metropolitan Zoo in Chile, told local media the park was crowded with visitors at the time of the incident.
