This morning, an EgyptAir Flight 804 from Paris to Cairo disappeared from radar with 66 people on board, according to the airline.
The Airbus A320 was flying at 37,000 feet when it disappeared.
French president, Francois Hollande has confirmed that the plane crashed
A major search is under way in seas south of the Greek island of Karpathos. Greek and Egyptian armed forces are involved in the effort, and France has offered to send boats and planes, BBC reports.
Mr Hollande is a statement said he was keeping an open mind about the cause of the crash.
"We will draw conclusions when we have the truth about what happened," he said.
"Whether it was an accident, or whether it was - and it's something that is on our minds - terrorism."
Greek officials are reporting the EgyptAir flight fell 22,000 feet & swerved sharply before it disappeared from radar.
