The Grammy award winning musician is Nigerian-British descent though was born in Ibadan, Nigeria. She is known for hit tracks Taboo, Smooth Operator, King Sorrow, Soldier of love. In 2002, she was awarded the Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace for her services to music.
Sade who has 6 studio albums was once married to a Spanish movie director in 1989, they had a daughter called Mickailia (also known as Ila) but the marriage ended in 1995. Sade and partner, Ian Watts live together in rural Gloucestershire, England’s west country, where they are raising Sade’s daughter, Ila, and Mr. Watts’s 22-year-old son, Jack.
