Following the series of fire outbreaks in the city recently, The Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe, has warned people of the state against smoking and burning of refuse.
He said, “On Saturday, 12 rooms were equally destroyed by fire at Alhaji Nurudeen Street, Ojo Oba Barracks, Ojo, and the toll keeps increasing. The harmattan season is still here and the temperature is still warm. People should be mindful of their neighbours who smoke and watch how they pack and dispose their refuse. Residents must avoid bush or refuse burning at this critical time.”
