Heartbreaking pictures from today's Kenya Lang'ata school playground grabbing


Police use tear gas on Lang’ata pupils protesting land grab from property developers, earlier today. Land grabbing is the contentious issue of large-scale land acquisitions: the buying or leasing of large pieces of land in developing countries, by domestic and transnational companies, governments, and individuals. Over the past few years, companies and foreign governments have been leasing large areas of land in some of Africa's poorest countries.
