Burial plans of former Ambassador of Nigeria to France


Ambassador Gordon Harry Bristol is decribed as a quintessential Diplomat and recieved a lot of accolades for his work in fostering the relationship between Nigeria and France in his time as a Ambassador of Nigeria to France from 2008 to 2012.

He died an untimely death at the end of last year. He is survived by his wife Ambassador ( Lady) Ijeoma Bristol and their chilfren. As announced by his family, the ambassador of Nigeria to France would buried as described below:




Last Friday was the Service of Songs at All Saints Church Wuse- 530pm

On Monday January 12, a Valedictory service is scheduled to hold at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Central Business District,  Abuja at 430pm.

On Tuesday 13th January,  a Lying-in-state will hold at his family residence in Durumi Abuja from 830-930am.

On Friday 16 January,  his body would have been conveyed to Port Harcourt where a Commendation Service will hold at St Paul's Cathedral, Diobu. Condolences will be paid immediately after service.

Another lying-in-state will hold at his family residence on Saturday January 17 in Bonny from 9.30-10am.

Internment follows at  11am of the same day.

A Thanksgiving service holdsat St Paul's Cathedral,  Diobu, Port Harcourt at 10am and a reception folows immediately after the service.

May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
