3 Nigerians arrested in Pakistan for fraud



Pakistani newspaper, The Express Tribune, reports that an arm of the FIA, the National Response Centre for Cyber Crimes, (NR3C), has arrested 3 Nigerian mail scammers, Chibuke Afaamu Ohaka, Donatus Maduabuchi Ogbuagu and Emeka Obowu for sending scam letters to their citizens and actually defrauding some.

The FIA Director, Usman Anwar, while briefing journalists, said the suspects operated by sending e-mails to people telling them that a rich old man or a woman was about to die and wanted to donate money to the poor in Pakistan.

The 3 men were arrested after complaints were filed by some Pakistani nationals who had fallen victims of the scam and after a painstaking investigations, they were detained.
