Shanice Clark, a college basketball player of the University of Pennsylvania was found dead over the weekend after probably inhaling chewing gum into her lungs while asleep, according to a coroner.
She was discovered unresponsive in her dormitory at about 3am on Sunday at California University of Pennsylvania. Her death appeared to be accidental, according to a preliminary report from medical personnel cited by police.
A post-mortem examination was conducted on Monday.
